Psalms 103:15-18 NLT
"Our days on earth are like grass; Like wildflowers, we bloom and die. The wind blows, and we are gone - As though we had never been here. But the love of the Lord remains forever With those who fear Him. HIS salvation extends to the children's children Of those who are faithful to His covenant, Of those who obey His commandments!"

The Blue Knights KY IX lost a brother, Tom Wallis died from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. Nothing tugs at our heartstrings like the unexpected and premature death of a friend and loved one. Something about being left behind stirs our emotions and brings a profound sense of loneliness and loss to our hearts. In the twinkling of an eye, a loved one passed from life to afterlife, from temporal to eternal; leaving friends, family, neighbors and co workers behind. We have all suffered a loss which none of us can explain. What we can do is stand on the truth. God promises us throughout the scriptures that HE will always be with us. That HE will never leave us nor forsake us and nothing, not even death can separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39 our relationship with Jesus can weather any storm. It is not dependent on our strength, ability, craftiness, intellect, worthiness or any other attribute we may think we can offer. It is Jesus and Jesus alone. In the gospel of Matthew 5:4 Jesus said, " Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted."Our sincere condolences and prayers to Major Tom's family
